Behind The Book - Michelle Cuevas
Michelle Cuevas is a children's book author. Her first novel, The Masterwork of a Painting Elephant was published by Farrar Straus and Giroux in 2011. The book has been translated into German, Hebrew, Thai and Chinese. Her next two books, The Uncorker of Ocean Bottles and The Ornithologist's Dream will be released by Penguin Books in 2013.
Cuevas holds a degree in English from Williams College, and a MFA from University of Virginia. She was born in Lee, Massachusetts.
