Michael Joseph Egan, Jr. (August 8, 1926 – January 7, 2016) was an American lawyer and politician.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, Egan served in the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from Yale University in 1950 and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. In 1955, Egan graduated from Harvard Law School. He practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1967 to 1977, Egan served in the Georgia House of Representatives and was a Republican. From 1977 to 1977, Egan served in the United States Department of Justice and was a United States Associate Attorney General. In 1979. Egan resumed his law practice. From 1989 to 2001, Egan served in the Georgia State Senate.
