Michael Robert Elmslie Fitchett (born 20 September 1982) is a New Zealand professional basketball player. The 1.83m point guard was a member of the New Zealand national basketball team. He participated in the FIBA Oceania Championship 2009 for the Tall Blacks, averaging 3.5 points per game for the team.

Fitchett attended Nelson College from 1996 to 2000, where he excelled as a sportsman. He was the school's junior athletics champion in 1996 and 1997, played for the 'A' basketball team from 1996 to 2000 and was a member of the 1st XI cricket team from 1997 to 2000.

Fitchett came out of retirement in 2012 to replace the injured Mark Dickel at the OceanaGold Nuggets. He was also a training player with the New Zealand Breakers during the 2011–12 season.
