Michael Currane is a former Australian rules footballer who represented Ireland at the Australian Football International Cup

Playing career

Mick is a native of Kilmihil, Co. Clare and was the President and founder of the Australian Rules Football League of Ireland. Mick and his brother Brian represented the Ireland national Australian rules football team, that won the 2001 Atlantic Alliance Cup and 2002 Australian Football International Cup, in Melbourne. He returned with the team for the 2008 Australian Football International Cup, reaching the semi finals.
