Michael Brennan (c. 1857 – September 11, 1939) was an Irish-born merchant and politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as mayor of North Bay in 1896.

The son of James Brennan, he was born in County Tipperary and came to Sheenboro, Canada East with his parents in 1863. Brennan moved to North Bay in 1883. He entered the clothing business, later expanding into the dry goods trade. He served 13 years on North Bay council. Brennan was long-time chair of the Catholic school board. He was also one of the first councillors for the Board of Trade. He was a founding member of the North Bay Liberal Association and served as its president.

Brennan married Ellen McFarland.

Brennan moved to Ottawa around 1933. He died in hospital there at the age of 82.
