Alexander Michael Hirst Aikman (9 September 1933 – 16 February 2005) was an Australian rower, an Olympic medal winner at Melbourne 1956.

In 1956 he was the bowman of the Australian boat which won the bronze medal in the eights event.

Following his college and rowing days, Aikman held a career in academia. From 1966 until 1973 he was headmaster at The Scots School in Bathurst, New South Wales, followed by a headmaster appointment at Haileybury, Melbourne.

In 2010 he was inducted as a member of the Rowing Victoria Hall of Fame.
