Mian (Punjabi, Urdu: میاں) or Miah is a family name in the Punjab region of South Asia.. Mian title was first given by Mughal Emperor Jahangir to the Rajput local princes of the Punjab region.Mian is only use for Rajputs in India .
Mian Family of Lahore
The family was also an official custodian of Shalimar Gardens since it was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1641 AD till 1962 AD.
