Melmerby is a village and civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It lies in the Yorkshire Dales about 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Leyburn. Its neighbours are two other villages Carlton and Agglethorpe. The settlement's name means "Máel Muire's Farm" in relation to the Gaelic Irish personal name.
