Melanothrix latevittata is a moth in the Eupterotidae family. It was described by Grünberg in 1914. It is found on Borneo. The habitat consists of upper montane forests.

Adult males are similar to Melanothrix nymphaliaria, but are slightly paler, warmer brown and with a narrower white patch on the forewings, which is distally crenulate. Females have a smaller basal black patch on the forewings and a rectangle based on the costa.
