Megacephala lacordairei is a species of ground beetle in the subfamily of Carabinae that was described by the French entomologist Hippolyte Louis Gory in 1833. It is found in Colombia, French Guiana, Suriname, and Venezuela. The species are similar to Megacephala affinis. The species are named after Belgian entomologist Jean Théodore Lacordaire.

Megacephala lacordairei is also known commonly as "Lacordaire's Metallic Tiger Beetle."
