Mayor of Fair Lawn, New Jersey: Fair Lawn was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 6, 1924, as "Fairlawn", from portions of Saddle River Township. In Fair Lawn, residents elect the council members who then vote among themselves as to who will serve a one-year term as mayor.
