The Mauritius Police Force (MPF) is the national law enforcement agency of Mauritius. Military role

As Mauritius has no standing army, the Mauritius Police are responsible for military duties on the island as well as policing and security. Military duties are performed by three paramilitary sub-agencies: the Special Mobile Force, the Special Support Unit (SSU) and the National Coast Guard (NCG).
