Rev. Maurice Kearney was an Irish Roman Catholic Priest, who served as Parish Priest in Clane, Co. Kildare.

Fr. Kearney was appointed parish Priest of Clane in 1824, to supplement the income of the parish Fr. Kearney decided to engage in Cattle dealing, and which became quite lucrative for him and the parish. From income from farming and cattle dealing he renovated some Chapels in his parish as well as schools.

Fr. Kearney died on the 19th of October 1842 and left a bequest of £8,350 to establish the Foreign Mission Fund at St. Patrick's, Carlow College, which was also known as The Kearney Fund, which was used for the education of priests for foreign counties. He is interned in the chapel in Clane.
