Matthew Avara

Matthew Avara was the mayor of Pascagoula, Mississippi (U.S.), most notably when the city was badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He declined to run for office in March 2009, with Robert Maxwell being elected unopposed, taking over the position in July 2009.
