Matsuya Foods Co. (株式会社松屋フーズ) (TYO: 9887) is a Japanese major restaurant chain serving gyudon (or gyūmeshi), other donburi, and curry. As of 2011, Matsuya has 833 restaurants throughout 33 Japanese prefectures and Shanghai, China. Matsuya was established in Japan in 1966.
Popular Culture
Matsuya has been a long-time sponsor of the Yakuza videogame franchise, and the game's staple location of Kamurocho has always featured two Matsuya restaurants.
