Matjaz smodis cska moscow
Matjaž Smodiš (born December 13, 1979) is a Slovenian former professional basketball player. He was a three-time Euroleague champion and an All-Euroleague Second Team selection in 2007.

Professional career

Smodiš' previous teams were Krka Novo Mesto of the Slovenian League and the Italian League clubs Virtus Bologna and Climamio Bologna. Smodiš has been playing with the Russian League club CSKA Moscow since the year 2005, being one of the team's major stars. In 2011 he left CSKA Moscow and signed with the Croatian club KK CEDEVITA ZAGREB (A1 Croatia league).

On November 30, 2012 he signed with his home town team KK Krka. Smodiš announced retirement in May, after leading KK Krka to their 4th consecutive championship.
Slovenian national team

Smodiš has also played for the senior Slovenian national basketball team. With Slovenia's national team he played at the 1999 FIBA European Championship, the 2001 FIBA European Championship, and the 2007 FIBA European Championship.
