Masood Chishti

Pir Masood Chishti is a Pakistani lawyer. After completion of studies, he started to practice law in 1985. His chosen area of specialism is Criminal Law. He was appointed as Assistant Advocate General Punjab in the High Court for Lahore.

In 1994 Pir Masood Chisti served for the Counsel for Lahore Development Authority (LDA), House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC). He was also Legal Adviser of Islamabad Development Authority (IDA).

Pir Masood Chisti was elected as a Member of Punjab Bar Council for Lahore where he served for a period of 5 years from 1999 to 2004. Whilst serving this time Chisti continued to be elected as Chairman of Executive Committee for 6 months.

In 2010 Pir Masood Chisti was appointed the Federal Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Secretary of Pakistan by ILA and the Federal Government"Masood Chishti appointed new law secretary". The Parliament was based in Lahore and alongside this continued to practice as a lawyer in Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court in Pakistan.

Further progressed and continued to be elected as President of Lahore High Court Bar Association for 2015-2016. During this time in service as a member of the Punjab Bar Council also served in different committees of the Punjab Bar Council as elected Chairman. Such services included serving on the Benevolent Fund Committee, Free Legal Aid Committee and Land Acquisition Committee.
