Marshall is an upcoming American biographical thriller film directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Michael and Jacob Koskoff starring Chadwick Boseman about the first African-American Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and one of the first cases of his early career. Principal photography began in mid-December 2015 in Los Angeles and continued in the spring of 2016 in Buffalo.

    Principal photography on the film began in mid-December 2015 in Los Angeles before moving to Buffalo in the spring of 2016 that included shoots at Buffalo City Hall, the Buffalo Central Terminal and Niagara Falls. Michael Koskoff and his son Jacob Koskoff wrote the script which Reginald Hudlin would be directing. Chinese company Super Hero Films would be financing the film, which would be produced by Paula Wagner through her Chestnut Ridge Productions, along with Hudlin, Jonathan Sanger and Super Hero Films' Jun Dong. On January 31, 2017, Open Road has set a release date of October 13, 2017.
