Marsden Park (postcode: 2765) is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Marsden Park is located 49 kilometres (30 mi) north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the Blacktown local government area and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

As at the 2011 census, Marsden Park had an estimated population of 1,050. There is a high degree (6.5%) of Maltese settlement.

History

The suburbs takes its name from Samuel Marsden (1764-1838), a Church of England priest and landowner in the area.

Schools

Marsden Park has one public primary school, Marsden Park Public School, established in 1889. Australian Christian College has one of their campuses located in Marsden Park.

    The suburb includes a caravan park, a golf driving range, a Hamrun Maltese Club and a chicken farm. The suburb is currently being developed with new residential and commercial areas. Sydney Business Park is a new commercial precinct in the suburb, adjacent to the Westlink M7 Motorway. The site includes Marist Youth Care (with cafe), a 24-hour McDonald's, an IKEA store, a future Costco warehouse, a Masters Home Improvement and Bunnings Warehouse, a Woolies and Aldi supermarket, a Lindt Factory Outlet, a Dulux paint store, a Home Hub centre. Commercial businesses include a Toll Group and Linfox logistics centre and a Swire Cold Storage. There is also a Shell petrol station with a Coles Express and a 7/11 convenience store here. It has also been suggested that the North West Rail Link be connected to the area in the future and a new freeway.
