Mark Shaw


Mark R. Shaw (January 22, 1889 – June 4, 1978) was a Prohibition Party candidate for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts in 1946, 1952, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1966 and 1970. He was also the party's candidate for governor of that state in 1948 and in 1956. In 1964, Shaw served as Prohibition Party candidate for vice-president of the United States.

Shaw was a Methodist minister whose father was a traveling evangelist and whose mother was a lecturer for the Woman's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU).
