Marshall Phillip "Mark" Brownson (June 17, 1975 – February 1, 2017) was a Major League Baseball pitcher.

Brownson played for two different ball clubs during his career: the Colorado Rockies (1998–1999) and Philadelphia Phillies (2000). He made his Major League Baseball debut on July 21, 1998, an astounding 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Houston Astros. Unfortunately Brownson struggled throughout the rest of his short career, compiling an 8.54 ERA in the 10 games after his magical debut. He pitched in his 11th and final big league game on July 20, 2000.

Brownson was married with two daughters. His wife divorced him, citing his addiction to painkillers and later heroin.

Brownson died on February 1, 2017 aged 41.
