Marine Station mooring complex in St. Petersburg opened in 1982 specifically for the reception and processing of cruise and ferry vessels utility. The station is located on the western tip of Vasilyevsky Island, at the area of the Sea of Glory, 1. The complex includes five berths, a place for border and customs inspection, restaurant, hotel and conference complex.

The station building was built in 1973–1983 years by the architect Sokhin. The walls were lined with bulky station panels, shaped sails on the 78-meter spire titanium was depicted on the edge of the ship. Originally the building was built for the Baltic Sea Steamship Company and also served as a station for visitors arriving by sea and between voyages base for the Mariners Company.
