Maria Vasilievna Pavlova, née Gortynskaia (Russian: Мария Васильевна Павлова, née Гортынская; June 26, 1854 – December 23, 1938), was a Russian and Soviet paleontologist, known for her research of fossil hoofed-mammals and efforts to establish the Museum of Paleontology at the University of Moscow. She was an honorary member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. She was married to geologist and paleontologist Alexei P. Pavlov.
