Margherita "Rita" Bottero (born July 27, 1937) was an Italian cross-country skier who competed in the 1950s.

Bottero competed in the 1956 Winter Olympics at Cortina d'Ampezzo. She finished 8th in the ladies' 3x5 kilometre relay and 29th in the 10 kilometres event. In 1956, she placed second in the 10 km race of the Italian women's championships of cross-country skiing.
