Margaret Agnes Keay OBE (11 June 1911 - 26 October 1998), was a South African-born British plant pathologist.

Margaret Keay was born on 11 June 1911 in Pretoria, South Africa, the only child of Scottish parents, and her father was Under-Secretary for Justice in the Union of South Africa. She was at Cape Town University and Newnham College, Cambridge.

Keay was Senior Plant Pathologist, Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University from 1964-68, and Professor, and Head of the Department of Crop Protection 1968-71.
