Maozhou or Mao Prefecture (茂州) was a zhou (prefecture) in imperial China centering on modern Mao County, Sichuan, China. It existed (intermittently) from 634 to 1913, occasionally falling under the Tibetan control.

Geography

The administrative region of Maozhou in the Tang dynasty is in modern northern Sichuan. It probably includes modern:
