The Manta esperancera is a traditional shawl worn by farmers in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

The blanket is always beige and has at the bottom without touching the edge a series of alternating stripes with beige background of blue hues. The Manta esperancera originated in weather situations of high, wet and wooded areas of the island of Tenerife. were originally imported wool blankets to use England. Later it became used as clothing man field. The Manta esperancera called the town of La Esperanza, as this is the place where most of the island was used due to weather situations humidity this area of the island.

Alternatively, the Manta esperancera is held to be an evolution of the Tamarco, a winter garment that was worn by the Guanche autochthones of the Canary Islands. Over time, the Manta esperancera has become a symbol of the traditional clothing of the Canary Islands becoming traditional used by several folk groups of islands as Los SabandeƱos and Los Gofiones, among others.
