Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar will be in male and female lead roles respectively. The film also will be starring Vicky Kaushal of Masaan fame, who plays the third lead in this love triangle where he will be seen romancing Bhumi. The first look of the film was released on 3 January 2016.

The film is a love story set in Punjab, where Bhumi is playing the role of a Punjabi girl, while Ayushmann plays a Punjabi Munda in the movie.
