Manihala Jai Singh is a well known village in Punjab. It got its name 'Manihala Jai Singh' from Sardar Jai Singh who belonged to this village and was a well known general of the army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The remains of his fort are found in this village which was popularly known as 'ATTARI' in the village. This village is located 7 km from Patti subdivision and nearly 12 km from Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran district. There is no documentary proof about the history of this village.

Mr. Inder Singh son of Mr.Saudagar Singh is a well known freedom fighter of this village. Mr. Harchand Singh Batth who remained the general secretary of WFDY (WORLD FEDERATION OF DEMOCRATIC YOUTH) for near about 5 years belongs to this village.

There is a historic Sikh shrine in this village that belongs to the 6th Sikh guru Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the guru known as the guru of "MEERI" AND "PEERI". A fair has been celebrated in this village every year for a long period of time in the memory of arrival of Shri Hargobind Sahib Ji, the 6th guru of Sikhs. Thus, it proves that this village forms an integral part of the state of Punjab.
