Mangubat Street

Mangubat Street is a historic street located in the old Poblacion in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Philippines. during Spanish time, it was known as Calle Mangubat. It is the street where the old municipal public market stands situated within barangay Poblacion. from GY Dela Serna Street it runs parallel and next to the old town Plaza (before F. Martir Street was constructed the road that separates the old town Plaza and Calle Mangubat) to BM Dimataga Street. named after Datu Mangubat the chieftain of Mactan during the Spanish Reconquista of the island. It traces its existence back to the 16th century.
