It contains unique archive footage from Sky News and exclusive interviews with key figures from Mandelas life, including Desmond Tutu, F. W. Plot

Nelson Mandela has fought his whole life for justice, for his beloved homeland of South Africa and for the idea that all men and women are born equal, regardless of the colour of their skin. Mandela: The Struggle is My Life tells the story of a man who changed the course of history and inspired millions, who ended apartheid in his own country and made racism unacceptable worldwide. A fitting celebration of an extraordinary man who changed the world.

Premiere dates

The documentary premiered on Sky 1 last 6 December 2013, one day after Mandela died. Sky Atlantic followed thee premiere the next day after the documentary premiered on Sky 1. The documentary premiered on Sky Atlantic last 7 December 2013. Pick TV will premiere the documentary at the day Mandela will be buried on 15 December 2013.
