About 300 years ago the first tribe Malkee Khair (now known as the Awan tribe) migrated from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Two heads of the tribe were divided and settled in two different places. One settled down in Punjab and the other in Tarnaa (now known as Isakhel). Most of them started to migrated and settle all over the South Asia region and they are very well known for their wealth and decency and their belief in the Islamic Sufism, Qutb Shah. Most of the property that they own today are near the Indus River.
