Makombo is a village in the territory of Niangara in the Haut-Uele District of Democratic Republic of the Congo. The village of Makombo has got some notable international media coverage because between 14 and 17 December 2009 there took place the so-called Makombo massacre, which was relieved by the Human Rights Watch Report end of March 2010.
