Mahibalanpatti is a village panchayat in the Thiruppatur taluk of Sivaganga district in the Tamil Nadu state of India. It covers 24 1/2 villages.

Historically, this area was managed by a small king called Mahibalan, hence the name Mahibalanpatti.

The father-in-Law of Minister Tan Sri Dato Manickavasagam (late) of Malaysia is from Mahibalanpatti. Dato'V Manickavasagam was the 6th President of Malaysian Indian Congress(1973–78). Dato V Manickavasagam was the Minister for Communications of Malaysia.
