Maharani Hemanta Kumari Debi was born in 1869 at Dhulla village of Manikganj district of Bangladesh. She is a remediable person for the development of Rajshahi city. For her social development work she got the title as "Maharani". At the time of the end of her life she had fallen great sickness and by the time she was staying at Kasi. in the year 1942 she died.
