The Mahar are a Sindhi Muslim Rajput tribe found among both the Seraiki people of South Punjab, Pakistan as well as being found in Sindh, Pakistan.

Homonym contradictions
Mahar Tribe living in Sindh, Pakistan is entirely different from the Mahar (caste- now neo Buddhists) living in Maharashtra, India. Both the Mahar Tribe and Mahar Caste have different origins and historical backgrounds.
Title
Mahar is also a title used by the Lali, Lak, Jauhri and Jethal of Punjab.
