MTV Classic is a brand for various programs & channels of MTV.

MTV Classic brand in Poland closed in 2005 and replaced with a Polish version of VH1 because the MTV Classic brand had low brand awareness and possible language difficulties, for the first time worldwide, the name MTV was used for the channel—which broadcast past music videos and documentaries about music stars. It also aired old MTV shows such as Beavis and Butt-head.

On May 1, 2010 MTV Classic will launch in Australia. It will replace VH1 Australia. Already the VH1 Classic UK has been replaced with MTV Classic, this coincided with the rebranding of all the MTV Europe channels.
