Mohammed Akrum Malik (Urdu: محمد اکرم ملک; 27 January 1923 – 1 November 2013) was a Pakistani who wrote three books on palmistry and numerous articles in the field of "occult sciences".
Malik was born in Jammu Kashmir and went to school at Prince of Wales College in Jammu. Later he moved to Lahore where he started a master's degree in English literature at Forman Christian College. His education was interrupted when many of his family died during the Partition riots of 1947. He resumed education at the University of the Punjab where he studied social work. In 1960 he graduated with honours and received a gold medal from the university. He lived in Canada from 1962 to 1964, where he obtained a special degree in psychology. Upon his return to Pakistan, he joined Punjab University as a faculty member, eventually rising to become the head of the Department of Sociology & Psychology, a position he held for over 20 years until retirement.
Malik wrote three books on palmistry, Hath ki Zuban and Esrar ay Dast Shanasee in Urdu and an English language book, New Horizons in Palmistry: 700 most revealing hand prints, published in 1999. He was in the process of formulating his last book, on the occult and palmistry as a science rather than commonly perceived pseudoscience, but was restrained due to age-related deterioration of health.
On 1 November 2013, Malik died at his residence in Lahore.
