Múzquiz is one of the 38 municipalities of Coahuila, in north-eastern Mexico. The municipal seat lies at Santa Rosa de Múzquiz. The municipality covers an area of 8,128.9 km².

As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 62,710. Of these, 242 spoke an indigenous language, primarily Kickapoo and Nahuatl.

It is named for Melchor Múzquiz, President of the Republic in 1832, born in Santa Rosa in 1790.

Besides the seat, other towns of note include the coal mining town of Palaú (pop 16,000).
