Lycaena rubidus, the ruddy copper, is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the western mountains of North America.

The wingspan is 28–32 mm. Adults are on wing from mid-July to early August.

The larvae feed on Rumex hymenosepalus, R. triangularis, and R. venosus.
