Lucy Alexander (born Lucinda Claire Alexander; 11 January 1971 in Portsmouth, UK) is an English newsreader and journalist, best known for her newsreading roles on London Tonight, the ITV News Channel and Sky News. She has also presented the IT and technology series eLife on CNBC Europe.

Early life
Alexander graduated from the University of Bristol in 1994 with a degree in Modern Languages (French/Spanish). She went on to do a post-graduate course in Broadcast Journalism at Highbury College, Portsmouth.
Journalism & Broadcast Career
Alexander began her career with the BBC, working for BBC Radio Solent, then for BBC Hereford and Worcester as a news reporter. She moved to ITV News Anglia in 1997 where she made her transition in to TV as a news reporter, then as a main anchor of Anglia News West's evening news programme.
Alexander moved to ITV News London in 2001 as a reporter/presenter. She became the main anchor of the one-hour lunchtime magazine news programme London Today and the co-anchor of the channel's flagship evening news programme, London Tonight with Alastair Stewart.
When London Tonight's production was taken over by ITN in 2004, Lucy became co-host (with Andrew Harvey) of the weekday Breakfast Programme on the rolling news ITV News Channel.
In 2006, Lucy became the weekend evening newsreader on Sky News.
Alexander received a Royal Television Society East Anglia Best Newcomer to TV Award in 1999.
Personal life
Lucy is married with a son. She divides her time between homes in London and the Algarve, Portugal.
