Lucknow Public School (LPS) is a private school in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It offers education from age 3 up to the level of undergraduation. Founded in 1983 by C.P. Singh, by 2008 its enrollment had reached more than 15,000 pupils on nine campuses. LPS is affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, the Central Board of Secondary Education and the U.P. Board. The school was ranked 12th in the "most respected secondary schools" in India list compiled by IMRB International in 2007.

Establishment

The school was founded by Shiv Pal Singh, and others, in 1983. It was set up as Lucknow Public School in Anand Nagar, Lucknow. Since then many schools have gone under the name of Lucknow Public Inter College. After a split up between SP Singh and CP Singh, Lucknow Public School was established by Mr. M.C. Singh in 1988 and is now better known as Lucknow Public School Sector-D, Ashiana. The school was recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board) but now it is affiliated with the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
