Loyola College, Mettala, is a minority Catholic, coeducational college of arts and science founded by Madurai Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Tamil Nadu, India, in 2015. It is open to those of all faiths but is particularly dedicdted to the education of Dalits, and of the poorer and the marginalized sectors of society. It was founded with the encouragement of the Bishop of the Diocese of Salem.

Chronology

In 2015 Loyola offered five programs: Bachelor of Arts in English literature, Bachelor in Commerce, Bachelor of Science in physics, in math, and in computer science. Hostels for boys and for girls and a church are in the planning.
