Low Self Opinion is New Waver's fourth album, released in 1992. It is a collection of sound collages and popular songs of the day, like their other cassettes.
According to the Spill label's website, track 3 was "a response to a prominent pro-winner song of the day" ().

The music bed for "News Break" was reused for the track "The Client" (later renamed "The Case") on New Waver's 1999 album The Defeated.
