History
The site was launched in 2014 by Stuart McClure, Mark Solomon and David Bishop. Amidst an increasing adoption of aggregator websites by consumers, the site was built to enable consumers to find reduced price products more easily.
The business has indirect competition from other aggregators not focusing specifically on ‘sales’, such as Lyst , operators withinin the discount space, such as SalesGossip, and other up and coming online retailer trends.
The company closed a six figure round of investment from The Collective in 2015.
In May 2016 Love the Sales featured in the UK’s Startups 100 list and the Blick Rothenberg Tech Awards programme. The company is also part of Microsoft’s Bizspark+ accelerator programme.
