Route description

Beginning at Harrisonburg, through Manifest, Rhinehart, Jena, Pollack, Bentley, to Colfax. - 1924 Louisiana Legislative Route Description

LA 19 started in the small town of Colfax, traveling east to meet US 71/LA 1 before entering Kisatchie National Forest. LA 19 met US 167 in the small community of Bentley before meeting US 165/LA 14 in the town of Pollock. LA 19 turned northeast to meet US 84, running concurrent with it from the town of Jena to the community of Manifest.

East of Manifest, LA 19 followed the Harrisonburg Road to the town of Harrisonburg, meeting LA 18 just before LA 18 met LA 68.
