Lou D'Allesandro (born July 30, 1938) is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 20th District since 1998. Previously he was a member of the New Hampshire Executive Council from 1975-1981 and the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1996 through 1998. Senator D'Allesandro appears frequently on the Paul Westcott Show on WGIR (AM) and on WQSO (96.7 THE WAVE).

University of New Hampshire (UNH) Class of 1961 and (UNH) Hall of Fame member: Lou D'Alessandro '61 was a three-year letterman on the football team including serving as the team's co-captain during his senior season in 1960-61. He was also a two-year member of the lacrosse team and played one year of baseball for the Wildcats. He was inducted September 25, 2010.

Lou was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, while at UNH. The Nu Sigma Mu local fraternity was established at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts in 1922. They were installed as the Epsilon chapter of Theta Kappa Phi national fraternity in 1924. Meanwhile the College became the University of New Hampshire in 1923. In 1959, Theta Kappa Phi united with another national fraternity, Phi Kappa, to make Phi Kappa Theta. All of the chapters of both fraternities were given new charters to reflect the new organization.
