The Longford Leader is a weekly newspaper published in Longford, Ireland since 1897. It was acquired by Scottish Radio Holdings in 2002. Johnston Press acquired SRH's newspapers in 2005. The paper is currently owned by Iconic Newspapers, who acquired Johnston Press' titles in the Republic of Ireland in 2014.
The Longford Leader is published weekly on a Wednesday throughout Longford and the surrounding counties.
According to ABC, circulation declined to 7,167 for the period July 2012 to December 2012, this represented a fall of 7% on a year-on-year basis.
