The Long Beach Trail is a shared-use bicycle and pedestrian path running from Paterson River (the Patterson River Loop Trail), Carrum, along the southwestern side of the Edithvale-Seaford Wetlands, to Mordialloc Creek, Mordialloc. There, it connects with the Mordialloc Creek Trail and Bay Trail.

The Trail begins with a short downhill slope, running northbound. There, it passes a Golf Course and a Pony Club. The Long Beach Trail then passes through Bicentennial Park in Chelsea Heights. The Trail then crosses Thames Promenade via a signalised Pedestrian Crossing and continues northbound. The Trail then passes another Golf Course and crosses Edithvale Road via another signalised Pedestrian Crossing. The Trail continues through Aspendale Gardens, passing 2 schools (Aspendale Gardens Primary and St. Louis de Montford) and a yet another Golf Course. The Trail continues past the Yammerbrook Reserve, Browns Reserve, and passes Mordialloc College in Aspendale. The Long Beach Trail passes a bridge over the Mordialloc Creek, and underpasses the Frankston Train Line. The Trail continues over the Allen Bridge in Mordialloc, U-Turns and underpasses the Nepean Highway while intersecting the Mordialloc Creek Trail. The Trails then continue along Mordialloc Creek to the Mordialloc Pier, and joins up with the Bay Trail, which yields access to the City via a shared pathway.
