Long Beach is a small community south east of Clarenville in Trinity Bay on the island of Newfoundland. The Post office first opened in 1889 and the first Postmaster was M.H. Vey. Some of the surnames that were residents of Long Beach were: Abbott, Fry, Harris, King and Quinton. In the early 1970s to approximately early 80s there were 3 or 4 families from Canada (Ontario) and the United States that lived there for a number of years.
